Norwalk police say with the aid of FBI special agents and state investigators they've developed several theories surrounding the death of Officer Matthew Morelli.
Morelli was fatally shot Friday while investigating suspicious activity in a secluded parking lot on Lubano Place. Evidence collected at the crime scene Friday is scheduled to be examined Monday morning by the Connecticut State Police Forensic Science Laboratory.
Tentative funeral arrangements have been made for Officer Morelli. A wake will be held Wednesday evening at the Collins Funeral Home on East Avenue. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at St. Matthew's Church on Scribner Avenue.
Following the funeral, Morelli will be laid to rest at St. John's Cemetery on Richards Avenue.
