Police: Dog tossed from window of moving car in case of animal cruelty

Another driver saw it happened and immediately stopped, according to police. That witness blocked traffic to save the dog and called authorities.

Police in Norwalk are investigating a severe animal cruelty case in which a dog was tossed from a moving car.
Police say a 1-year-old Beagle was dangled upside down outside the passenger window of a moving car, then thrown to the ground on a busy road. They say it happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The incident happened on Connecticut Avenue at the intersection with Keeler Avenue.
Another driver saw it happened and immediately stopped, according to police. That witness blocked traffic to save the dog and called authorities.
The dog was taken to a nearby animal hospital for evaluation. She is OK physically, but very scared. She was placed with Norwalk Animal Control.
