Fairfield police say someone robbed the Lenox Jewelry store on Black Rock Turnpike late Wednesday night.

Officers say they received a burglary alarm around 11:30 p.m. 

Authorities say they saw a vehicle fleeing the scene when they arrived, as well as a smashed window.

They say someone did enter the store and made off with an unknown amount of jewelry.
