Police have identified a man who was killed after being struck by a car on I-95 in Milford Friday.
Alfredo Javier Lopez Marrero, 24, of Tampa, Florida, was killed near exit 40 in Milford around 2:30 a.m.
Police say Marrero was outside of the vehicle, which was stuck in the left lane after losing control.
Investigators say both Marrero and his car were struck by another vehicle traveling in the left lane. The incident temporarily closed both the center and left lanes on the northbound side of I-95 near exit 40, but were later reopened.
Marrero was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
At least one other person from the other vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police did not say if anyone was facing charges.
