Stamford police have identified the 84-year-old woman who was killed when her own vehicle rolled backward and hit her in the parking lot of her condo complex.
It happened at the Chesterfield complex on Bedford Street Tuesday afternoon.
Police say Virginia Bellas got out of her car to talk to a neighbor and that's when her car rolled backward. Police say Bellas didn't put her car in park. They say her driver's side door was open and it knocked both her and the neighbor to the ground.
Police say both women were taken to the hospital, where Bellas died.
The other woman is expected to be OK.
