Police: Long gas lines creating potential traffic hazards
The fuel shortage is creating long lines at gas stations throughout southwestern Connecticut this evening and has even prompted Greenwich police to ask drivers to head to other communities to gas up.

The fuel shortage is creating long lines at gas stations throughout southwestern Connecticut this evening and has even prompted Greenwich police to ask drivers to head to other communities to gas up.
Officers say motorists from New York have been crossing the state line in search of fuel, often stopping in Greenwich.
Greenwich police today asked out-of-state drivers to go to communities like Stamford, Darien and Norwalk to fill up. They say long lines have created numerous potential traffic hazards.
People in places like Stamford, Darien and Norwalk tell News 12 Connecticut that lines for gas in those communities are just as long, and say some stations there have run out of gas, too.
