Police arrested a suspect in connection with the brutal slaying of an illegal Jamaican immigrant in Bridgeport.

According to police, Maurice Johnson was found shot to death in the parking lot of the Old Mill Green Library on East Main Street last week. New York City police and the FBI arrested Winston Grant Tuesday. Police say they believe Grant is also an illegal immigrant from Jamaica and played a role in killing Johnson.

Police say Grant is dangerous and they are happy an arrest was made quickly. Grant is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and is being held on $1 million bond.

Police say they are also pursuing several other persons of interest and hope to make more arrests in connection to Johnson?s murder.
