The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the killing of a 79-year-old woman this weekend.
Police say the woman was hit by a fireplace tool inside a home Saturday night on New Milford Avenue in Dumont.
Police arrested a 30-year-old man at the scene and charged him with the crime.
Further details of the incident and the relationship between the suspect and victim are not yet known.
