Police say one man is facing charges for firing a gun in a Stamford neighborhood, causing a bullet to pierce a home.
The incident happened Thursday on Dale Street. Investigators have not yet released the man's name, but they say he fired a "warning shot" while being taunted by another man.
The bullet ricocheted and broke a window. No one was injured.
Keeva Baldwin, the mother of the man who was arrested, says he was trying to protect her. "My kids' father is abusive, and because of the abuse that I've suffered in the past, my son felt intimidated... and he felt like he had to protect his family," Baldwin said.
Baldwin says her son was legally carrying the gun and was acting in self-defense.
