A man was shot in the head Sunday afternoon on Spruce Street, Stamford police say.
Police said it happened just before 3 p.m.
They said Kaysean Manning, 20, from Stamford, was found with a gunshot wound on the side of his head.
He was taken to Stamford Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
Officials say Manning is currently in stable condition.
Several people who were present during the shooting were seen running away from the scene, according to police.
Details surrounding the shooting or any arrests were not immediately available.
