Police have arrested a man who they say assaulted another man with a hammer. 
Police charged Michael Dilello with two counts of attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Officers say the 41-year-old victim left his home in the Schuylerville section of the Bronx early Friday morning and returned several hours later with lacerations and bruises to his head. He was allegedly attacked by the suspect, Dilello, 43, with a hammer. 
Police say the two were out in the borough earlier in the evening.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition.
