Police have identified a New Haven man as the suspect in an armed robbery of a Zale's jewelry store and a police chase in Trumbull.

Police have identified a New Haven man as the suspect in an armed robbery of a Zale's jewelry store and a police chase in Trumbull.
They say Eddie Lynch, 24, surrendered to police around 1:10 a.m. Saturday in Bridgeport after crashing amid the pursuit.
Police say Lynch fired his gun at least once as officers tried to get him to surrender.
They say they found a handgun and stolen jewelry on him following his arrest.
He's being charged with first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree larceny, criminal attempted murder and first-degree attempted assault on a police officer.
Police say Lynch also has an active domestic violence arrest warrant in New Haven. He's also been prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a robbery conviction from 2015.
Lynch is being held on $500,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled on Dec. 28.
