Police say a man from New York City was charged in connection to an assault at a motel in Norwalk.

Juan Reyes of the Bronx is accused of strangling and assaulting the victim before leaving the room at the Red Carpet Inn on Westport Avenue.

Police say they caught up to Reyes a short time later at a nearby KFC.

The Norwalk Hour reports that the victim is a man who has reportedly met with Reyes at the same motel on multiple occasions.
