Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred Saturday night in Stratford.
Ed Dillon, the owner of Edward J. Dillon & Sons Floral Shop, says an armed man broke into his home at around 9 p.m., robbed him and then tied him up. The home is attached to Dillon's shop.
Dillon, a 77-year-old father of four and grandfather of seven, says he is lucky to be alive after the ordeal.
Among the items allegedly stolen were a cellphone and money.
Police say the suspect is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds. They say he was wearing a brown coat and a fake beard during the invasion.
