Police responded to Boston Avenue in Bridgeport Thursday after reports came in of a shooting outside Harding High School.
The shooting occurred during the fourth quarter of the rival football game between Harding and Central high schools, a city staple on Thanksgiving.
Police say about 1,200 players and fans were evacuated from the field due to a shooting down the street, on the sidewalk outside the school.
While details are hazy, police say a fight broke out on the sidewalk parallel to the field, which led to shots being fired.
Investigators remained at the scene for at least two hours following the game to determine who was involved in the shooting. They say they are thankful that no one was injured.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Bridgeport Police Department.
