Police have released surveillance images of a car they say was involved in a drive-by shooting of a Bronx priest in Ozone Park.
Father Damian Ekete, 49, was struck by a stray bullet in the right arm while walking early Sunday morning on 134th Street and Rockaway Boulevard in Queens, police say.
They say Ekete was not the intended target, but that he was caught in the cross fire.
Ekete was transported to Jamaica Hospital, where he was treated and released.
A spokesperson for the Archdiocese of New York says Ekete is back at his parish, the Church of the Holy Spirit in Morris Heights.
Police say the intended target of the drive-by was not injured, and no arrests have been made.
