Police are searching Friday for two men they say tried to abduct a teenage girl from a Milford street.

Authorities say the incident occurred a few blocks behind the police station off I-95 on Oronoque Road and Covington Drive Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the 13-year-old was walking her dog when two men pulled up in a red mini-van. They say one of the men jumped out of the sliding door and started to run toward the girl. Police say the teen was able to get away.

?She has a description of the individuals ? We?re very concerned about this, especially for the safety of everyone in that area,? says Milford Police Capt. Gerald Butler.
