Fairfield police say they need the public's help in identifying a driver responsible for a hit-and-run accident.
Officials responded to the crash Wednesday afternoon on Chambers Street near Johnson Drive.
According to officials, the driver of the silver Nissan Rogue blew through a stop sign, struck a vehicle in oncoming traffic, and continued on without stopping.
The driver of the opposing car was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
