New Canaan police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect who burglarized a home yesterday.

According to investigators, a woman living in a house on Louises Lane heard a crash from inside a bedroom office at around 7 p.m., but couldn't get into the room because the burglar had apparently locked himself inside.

Police say the woman began to yell, ran out of the house and called 911. K-9 dogs that were brought to the scene picked up the burglar's scent, but eventually the trail went cold.
