A social worker in New Canaan is accused of giving marijuana to an underage client.

Police say Kelly Howard,32, of Ansonia, gave both pot and pot-filled vaping cartridges to the teenager during home visits in March.

Howard surrendered herself to New Canaan police on the active arrest warrant Thursday.

She is also charged with not reporting potential incidents of neglect or abuse, which she is required by Connecticut state law.

She was released on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 21.
