Police: Southbury nurse charged with tampering vials

Police say a nurse from Southbury was charged for replacing medication vials with saline.
Sean Falzarano, 37, is accused of removing lorazepam from five vials intended for patients on Jan. 31, 2022.
Police say Falzarano removed the solution, replaced it with saline and returned the adulterated vials to be used in medical procedures.
Falzarano appeared in court today in New Haven and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Officials say he was released on a $50,000 bond pending trial.
According to officials, Falzarano's nursing license is suspended.
