Authorities say a Stamford woman is facing charges in Westport for depositing a phony check and trying to withdraw the funds at First County Bank in Westport.
Officers say 26-year-old Alixandria Lauture was identified as a suspect in the case. She was arrested last week at the Fairfield Police Department.
Authorities say she was released after posting bail and will be arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on May 6.
Police say another person was arrested in connection with this case earlier this month.
