Police: Teen dead, another injured in shooting

Bridgeport police say a teenage boy has died and another teen was sent to the hospital after both were hit with gunfire Thursday.
The shooting occurred at the corner of State Street and Lee Avenue a little before 5 p.m.
Police say they believe the victims were caught in crossfire between two groups and were not the intended targets.
A 14-year-old boy was shot in his upper chest and pronounced dead at the hospital. The other victim, a 17-year-old, was shot in his hand and left leg. .
He was sent to St. Vincent's Medical Center where police say he is expected to survive.
Police have not yet released the identity of the victim who was killed until his family is notified.
Officials say they have surveillance videos of the shooting.
