Police: Teen held a knifepoint while out shopping in Stamford

A man was arrested for holding a knife to a teen’s throat while she was out shopping in Stamford, police said.
It happened on Aug. 15 on Pacific Street.
The victim, a Stamford resident, was shopping with her aunt when Kevin Nettles, 40, assaulted her by holding a knife to her throat.
Stamford police said her aunt was able to pull her away from the attacker, and they ran to a safe sport where they could call for help.
The victim suffered superficial knife wounds to her neck and was treated on site by Stamford EMS.
Nettles was arrested and is facing multiple charges.
He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
