Norwalk police are urging residents to be cautious after they say an elderly resident was the victim of a burglary Saturday.
Police say a man told the victim he was from the water company and needed to check on a leak.
Once inside the home, police say the suspect kept the victim busy while an accomplice went into the basement and stole some of the victim's belongings.
Police ask anyone with information or anyone who encountered a similar scam, to contact them.
