A woman was critically injured after police say she slammed her car into the wall of the Bridgeport train station while fleeing from another crash.
Aisha Burnett, 32, is accused of rear-ending a car at the intersection at State Street and Iranistan Avenue Thursday around 9:48 p.m.
Police say Burnett hit the vehicle so hard that its license plate was embedded into her car.
Investigators say Burnett fled the scene of the first accident, and then traveled eastbound on State Street at a high rate of speed.
They say Burnett's car came to the T-intersection at State Street and Water Street and she continued straight without braking or turning, and then crashed into the wall of the train station.
Burnett was extricated from the car and transported to Bridgeport Hospital for serious injuries and is listed in critical condition.
Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Bridgeport Police Traffic Division at 203-576-7640.
