West Hartford police say they are seeking racial bigotry charges against a Litchfield County teen accused of making her college roommate's life a nightmare.
Police say Brianna Brochu, of Harwinton, tampered with her University of Hartford roommate's belongings, even smearing bodily fluids on the victim's backpack.
Both police and the school say they are treating the case as a hate crime.
The University of Hartford says Brochu is no longer a student at the school.
