A public viewing was held Monday for the owner of Delicioso Coco Helado who died in a freak accident last week.
Alfredo Thiebaud was killed Friday when he was crushed by an electric gate at his business on Saint Ann's Avenue.
The viewing was held at The Schuylerville Funeral Home on East Tremont Avenue. Family, friends, employees, elected officials and the NYPD attended to pay their respects.
Coach buses transported people from Delicioso Coco Helado to the funeral home.
Many people that attended the funeral wore shirts that read "R.I.P. Alfredo Thiebaud, Rey Del Coco."
Two carts of "coquitos" were stationed outside the funeral home.
Theibaud will be laid to rest following a private viewing for his close family and friends Tuesday at the same location.
