News 12's Rebecca Surran hosted the Women Empowering Women Institute's annual breakfast at The Country Club of New Canaan Wednesday.
Topics discussed included the need for high quality, affordable behavioral health programs in Fairfield County.
The institute, created in 2021, works to address a variety of needs and offers several integrated programs.
"Behavorial health and wellness programs, financial literacy classes and all different kinds of services for all women in Fairfield county of all socio-economic levels," says Karen Nisenson, the institute's executive director.
The organization has benefited close to 100 women so far and hopes to help another 150 in the next year.
