A recently graduated Milford police officer was arrested last week for an incident that happened in July.
Eric Hoff of Stratford was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 21 by police for leaving the scene of an accident in July and failing to report it.
Officials say he was off duty when he hit a utility pole on Pepes Farm Road.
A friend picked up him up and took him home the night of the incident, according to police.
Hoff was fired after a few weeks on the job. He had just graduated from Milford Police Academy.
He is set to appear in court Sept. 19 and is charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive right.
