A bill that would allow traffic cameras at busy intersections to record drivers who run red lights is gaining momentum.
Members of the General Assembly's Transportation Committee voted 26-to-11 in favor of the bill yesterday.
It would give cities with more than 48,000 people the option to install the cameras as early as October.
The bill now goes to the full House for a vote.
