An asphalt plant has reopened in New York City, promising to repair potholes at a faster rate across the five boroughs.
The city says it's so far filled 338,000 potholes and repaved 173 miles of road after this brutal winter, but that it will now be able to do even more.
According to Mayor Bill de Blasio, the Brooklyn plant underwent a $25 million renovation over the past year, making it possible to produce 30 percent more asphalt than before.
The mayor adds that the plant allows for more recycled asphalt, meaning taxpayers will save millions of dollars.
