Democratic incumbent Rep. Jim Himes won re-election in the 4th Congressional District race.
Political newcomer Harry Arora, a hedge fund manager, was hoping to unseat Himes. Himes has held the seat since 2009 when he unseated Republican Chris Shays.
Himes says he's really focused on what Democrats can do if they take back the House. Part of that is an infrastructure plan with investing in highways and railways. He also says Congress needs to act as a check and balance on the president.
