A report from the Connecticut inspector general says a Bridgeport officer was justified in shooting a suspect after the suspect stabbed another officer.

On Oct. 5, 2024, officers responded to a home on Terry Place following reports of an emotionally disturbed individual.

Bodycam footage shows Huntley Jackson lunging at an officer before stabbing her twice in the neck.

Police then shot Jackson twice.

He survived and was later released from the hospital into police custody.

Toxicology tests showed he was under the influence of several drugs.

The injured officer was also treated.
