Hundreds of shoppers were out on Thursday evening enjoying the annual downtown holiday Shop and Stroll event in Fairfield.

Shoppers enjoyed late-night hours from businesses, as well as refreshments, carols and ice sculptures.

The event was put on by the Chamber of Commerce to encourage people to shop locally.
