Residents react to Trump's 34-count felony indictment

Some people said they wondered what the impact will have on the next presidential election and if it will make the country more divided.

Many people News 12 spoke with Tuesday say they were sorting out their feelings following former President Donald Trump's not guilty plea to a 34-count felony indictment.
Some people said they wondered what the impact will have on the next presidential election and if it will make the country more divided.
"If it's the law, everybody has to respect the law, that's the point," said Daniel Poyoy, of Bridgeport.
News 12 Connecticut has more with Darien residents.
Some Republicans saw Tuesday as a tipping point.
"What we see today is going to plague our country for decades as political parties in power use the legal system to attack their opponents," said former Secretary of State candidate Dominic Rapini.
