Andre Swanston, an entrepreneur from Ridgefield, wants to build a soccer stadium in Bridgeport.
Swanston says he's working with the city for approval and zoning permits to develop the stadium where the old Shoreline Star Greyhound Park is located.
He says he wants to bring a Major League Soccer franchise to play at the stadium and thinks it would benefit the city and state economically.
Although he does not have an MLS franchise agreement yet, Swanston says it's a one step at a time process.
