Fairfield police say the dean of students at Ridgefield High School faces DUI charges.
Police say they arrested Kevin Callahan, 52, on Sunday after he hit a sign and tree at Stillson and Fairfield Woods roads.
They say officers detected a strong smell of alcohol and found a half-empty bottle of vodka in his car.
The superintendent of Ridgefield schools says Callahan is now on administrative leave while the school reviews the incident.
