A seaplane made an unexpected landing in the Housatonic River near Shelton.

The plane landed near the Sunnyside Boat Ramp on River Road. The owner of the plane says it was originally supposed to land at a nearby airport, but a malfunction with the landing gear forced the pilot to bring it onto the water.

The pilot and one other passenger were not injured.
