The U.S. Coast Guard has called off the search for a boater who went missing while sailing with friends off the coast of Milford Wednesday.
The victim, 52-year-old Danny Greene, of Hamden, was discovered missing at around 6:30 p.m. by two passengers who had been sleeping below deck.

Greene, originally from Milford, docked his sailboat at Milford Harbor.
According to his sister, Erica Greene-Derita, he was an experienced sailor, but had been experiencing difficulties with the boat?s sail.
