2ds agoSecura has issued a recall for 6,400 air fryers.
The air fryers were sold via Secura's website and Amazon from May 2019 through October 2020 for between $48 and $49.
A wire connection in the fryer can overheat. There have been nine reports of the fryers catching fire, burning and smoking.
The recall impacts air fryers with model number SAF-53D (TXG-DT16E) with date code 1901 and model number SAF-53 (TXG-DS16) with date codes 1903 and 1904.
Anyone who purchased one of the air fryers is advised to stop using it and contact Secura for a $45 Amazon gift card or a free replacement.
