Sen. Richard Blumenthal is calling on Tesla to recall all vehicle parts that pose known safety risks.

He says a recent Reuters investigation revealed Tesla's knowledge of flaws - including issues with the steering and suspension caused by component failures.

Blumenthal and Sen. Ed Markey of Massachusetts sent a letter to CEO Elon Musk, that states, "This reporting puts your statement from January that 'Teslas are the safest car on the road' at stark contrast with reality. We call on you to swiftly recall all Tesla components that pose a safety risk."
