He says all branches of the armed services except for the Marine Corps are falling short of their goal numbers.
"We need to use this Veterans Day to inspire young men and women to enlist and follow the model of the great veterans we honor on this Veteran's Day weekend," says Blumenthal.
Blumenthal says if the military does not meet its goal, there could be a lack of skilled service personnel in the U.S. Armed Forces, which he describes as dangerous.
