Shots fired in quiet Stamford neighborhood

Stamford police say they are investigating a shooting today in a neighborhood that residents say is typically quiet.  Police say they received calls about shots fired on Fairfield Avenue before 9 p.m.

Stamford police say they are investigating a shooting today in a neighborhood that residents say is typically quiet. 
Police say they received calls about shots fired on Fairfield Avenue before 9 p.m. Wednesday. 
Some of the stray bullets hit the home at 249 Fairfield Ave. by a window and into a gutter. 
Police say there were children in the home, but thankfully no one was hurt.
