A blast of bitterly cold temperatures hit western Connecticut Wednesday, just after a snow squall affected the area.
Temperatures fell into the single digits Wednesday night, with Thursday's highs only expected to reach 16 degrees.
Drivers along I-95 in Darien were heavily affected by the snow squall, as it caused dangerous driving conditions including low visibility.
