Get ready for a big warmup happening tomorrow, along with on-and-off showers for the weekend.
Saturday starts off with a big surge of warm air moving through western Connecticut.
Clouds and showers overnight, which will just about clear the area tomorrow.
Sunny in the afternoon for a time and allow high temperatures into the 70s, with some of the warmest temperatures away from the Sound Shore.
Watch out at night and early Sunday as a backdoor cold front moves south and brings in much cooler marine air.
Temperatures will fall with some showers again. Sunday's high temperatures will reach the lower 50s, with some coastal areas staying in the 40s.
Warmer air heads north again and there will be some risk of rain early and then late Monday.
A cold front will come through at night, with some thunderstorms. There will be a risk that some storms in our area may be strong or even severe.
A partial solar eclipse happening Saturday morning at sunrise, but with clouds in the area this may be difficult to see. The solar eclipse starts before sunrise and the sun will rise in the eclipse, with the moon covering about 21% of the sun. The eclipse will end shortly after at 7:05 a.m. Best area to view will be a wide-open eastern horizon, think coastal or higher terrain.
