A spokesperson for Gov. Dannel Malloy says Tuesday's poor weather forced the governor to cancel his trip to the White House.
Malloy was scheduled to fly to Washington to attend the Third Annual Executive Committee Meeting, organized by the National Governors Association.
The governor's office says that his flight was delayed to the extent that he would have missed the entire meeting.
Malloy will be sworn in for a second term on Wednesday in Hartford.
