Southport awarded grants to reconstruct boat launch ramp

The Connecticut Port Authority awarded the town of Southport two grants Thursday through its Small Harbor Improvement Projects Program.
The town will get around $260,000 to dredge the town boat yard marina basin and reconstruct the boat launch ramp.
An additional $6,500 was also given to update the Southport Harbor Management Plan.
The Southport Harbor is home to over 200 sail and power boats.
