Dozens of coats, blankets, pillows and other objects have been piling up at a woman?s home in Danbury and will be given to fire victims from southwestern Connecticut.
In the last five days, firefighters say they have been busy battling several blazes across the area. Now, Danbury resident Maxine Nery is hoping to help the fire victims by collecting donations.
Over the weekend, a home on Stillwater Street in Stamford went up in flames and at least one family was forced out of its home.
In Bridgeport, a family on Colorado Avenue was also left homeless after a fire ripped through a home.
A blaze in Park City on Capitol Avenue tore through another family?s home this week.
The fire left many of the families without their belongings. Nery hopes the donations will be able to help those affected.
Those who know someone who has been displaced because of a fire, are urged to call Nery at 203-451-6571.
