Parts of southwestern Connecticut are drying out this morning from a torrential rainstorm that caused heavy flooding in some areas overnight.
Rescue crews were called to help a driver whose car got stuck in high water on South State Street in Stamford.
Authorities say so much rain fell so quickly that it had nowhere to go and caused flash flooding on several streets.
